Default Can't open 2 Razors at the same time

When ever I try to open a 2nd razor, I get a error saying client.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience.

But everyone else seems to be able to open 2 of them on 2 different accounts. Can anyone help me out? thx

I have the same problem using a client tweaked for our shard
Client: 4.0.3d
Razor 1.0.6
WinXP Pro

I assume it's something with the way the client was altered

Are you using a special client for your shard like the other guy?

I recommend you update your client to the latest version (5.0.8.2)

Try running UOPatch.exe to let it update all the way.

Zippy, I noticed that you give advice to everybody to update the client to the last version. The problem is that these guyes are playing on a freeshard where for example only the 4.0.4t is accepted.... so if they update their clients they will not be able to play on their shard....

If they only accept that particular client, then you will need to use very old versions of Razor, and then you will need to get support from that shard since they are the ones limiting you to non-supported software.

Bottom line, there is no need to limit the client that can be used on a shard since the shard's coder can limit anything they choose by editing server scripts.

And, if they are distributing a modified client, they are not only breaking the law, but can be removed from any Shard list so they will be on their own as far as connection methods and patching (unless they already do that themselves).

Origin does not grant you a license to use the Software for any other purpose. You agree to play Ultima Online only on the Service and not through any other means. You further agree not to create or provide any other means through which others may play Ultima Online, for example, through server emulators.
Lets be serious..
We all are breaking the license agreement in some way

True, but getting support here for an 'illegal' client is not likely.

There's a different between breaking the license agreement and breaking copyright law.
