Initial Problems with Logging In - RunUO

I jhust downloaded UO and Razor and have managed to get past the initial login screen for several servers. My problem comes when I attempt to create a charater where I encounter horrendous lag. Generally aftera minute or so I can get past the menu where you select a character class but the pull down menus and adjuster bars for setting stats and skills will not funtction properly for any of the servers I'm attempting to set myself up on. Has anyone else encoutnered this? I'm running WIndows XP and set the settings on Razor for both 2000 and NT in the properties window but neither has been able to help me overcome the issue I'm encoutnering.

No ideas? I'm still not able to actually get into a game at this point. Still hosing out at the character creation portion of the game. Any input is appreciated.
