Default scripts reload

RunUO builds a DLL form scripts then loads it
So is it possible to serialize all, recompile scripts (another dll?) and then deserialize keeping players online (frozed)?

Sorry 4 my bad English but i'm Italian.

This has been discussed many, many times. It doesn't work very well. Causes a lot of crashes and potential issues. It shouldn't be that big of a deal to tell your players "At 6AM we will go down for a reboot."

This will never be possible.

Drop the subject, you shouldn't have to recompile a live shard, use a test shard before adding a script.

Only bad admins uses untested scripts.

Wolfpack did stuff like this..was pretty cool..it would reload its accounts and some other scripts via a command line the emulator had.

Personally I would be interested in seeing some ability to externally manipulate the data via XML or someother means. Accounts.xml is already available and allows some interesting possibilities. But having to restart the whole server limits the flexibility of this kind of system.

This isn't Wolfpack.

Recompiling the scripts while the server is running isn't going to heppen. Good shards don't need this feature.

Why would you need to reload the accounts.xml on command anyway? The server writes to the account file whenever a new acount is made and reads it when somebody accesses an account.
