Read a thread in the script help forum and decided to do this...didn't take all that long.
This is a RenamePet command for players. It allows the player to rename their pet to whatever they want, within limits. The limits are currently almost identicle to the NameVerification.cs with slight differences. You may add/change what you want the players to be able to rename to by simply going into the script and adding/subtracting from the 3 different arrays. Comments are next to each array telling what the array limits. There's also a comment down the script where you can change min/max name lengths. Usage : [RenamePet Name Of Pet Here Spaces and other characters allowed. Tested minimally, but should be just fine (compiles and doesn't allow the names it's not sposed to). Not much room for bugs I dont think. Please post any you find though! Enjoy! PS: And if anyone was wondering why I put the different strings in this file....I like to edit the base files as little as possible ![]() |

A_Li_N to better optimize this script it would be cool if you coul add a gump that has special characters for people who dont know how to make special characters.
Anyway the gump would have all kinds of different special character with a text box at the bottom, each time they pick a special character it gets written to the text box below, when they get all the desired letter/characters then they hit accept and it names their pet whats in the text box. Just an optimization idea, I wouldnt know how to do. ![]() |

But to do it, all you would do is have a text field and a bunch of labels with buttons next to them. When you click the button, it takes what's in the text field and appends the certain character to the text, then re-opens the gump. Also, are we all sure that special characters are visible by the client? Heard rumor that the client displays them as '?' |
