Forwarding Ports with a LINKSYS Router:
Step 1) - Login http://192.168.1.1 [this is usually the default gateway] Username: admin Password: admin ![]() Step 2) - Once logged in click the Advance Tab up top. ![]() Step 3) - Click the Forwarding Tab up top. ![]() Step 4) - Under the column Customized Applications you can type anything, it doesn't really matter. I put "Shard" to keep it a little organized. [See Pic 3] PIC 3: ![]() Step 5) - Under Ext. Port, again you can put anything that is within the Port Value Range [0-65535]. The default port is set @ 2593, so thats why I chose it. Just make sure you put Port to Port [same port # for both boxes.] [See Pic 3] Step 6) - Check both UDP and TCP Protocal Boxes. [See Pic 3] Step 7) - Click Start > Run on your windows task bar. Type in command or cmd depending on your operating system. Then when a black screen appears [Ms-Dos], type in "netstat/n" without quotes. This should list something like this: ![]() Step 8) - Once you obtain your internal IP address from Ms-Dos add on the last 3 numbers back in the LINKSYS Router settings page. [See Pic 3] Step 9) - Check Enable then scroll down and hit "Apply." Step 10) - Obtain your external IP address from www.whatismyip.com and then open your Serverlist.cs in your RUNUO Scripts/Misc folder. Heres an overview of the script and what you should do [This is default RC0 Serverlist.cs]: ![]() Step 11) This should do it! Make sure you save all settings. If your shard still doesn't work try disabling any firewalls. If you have any question or comments feel free to email me: virulent@verizon.net |
