Few requests please? - RunUO

Could someone script and post a no disarm on mounting ethereals portion of script (or point me in the right direction).

Also show me how to remove the So and so number of users currently connected, x # of items and mobiles etc from the loginstats.cs file. (Searched for a while and even had a chat with fallsupstairs re: what he's posted on that recently) because i don't want that as my welcoming message.

Ummm Just delete the line in LoginStats.cs that you want......

About the no disarm, make "mouting" the mount a method instead of a spell.

Right now its a spell, change it.

I know your going to dislike me, you have asked the same question, and now your posting a request. I have told you exactly the samething, yet you never post code where you have tried to do it yourself.

Well, i don't have any...yes any...skill in coding anything. As to whether or not i like you? Sorta weird assuming someone will dislike you just because you post something you think they don't want to be told. *shrugs*.

If i had code to post Phantom i would have. Not everyone playing with this software has the uber code skills required to get things running perfectly first go. One of the best aspects about RunUO is the fact that people can ask for help from more skilled people that ARE able to code. And yes i did post my request elsewhere as you said. I posted it here though because it's a suggestion and ideas thread, and i have seen people with said skills asking for ideas on what people would like added. I've been using runuo for less than a week. Spent hours on hours searching for stuff. When i have as many posts as you yeah i mabe be able to code what i want...till then i'll ask for help because i just don't know enough.

I don't have uber skill either, I figure stuff out there is a difference. It does not come easy to me, I work hard to figure stuff out

That statment makes no sense, Like I said I search for the answer and I post what I find. I know what I am doing only because I have searched so often and found so many answers for people.

Again if you want help post what you have, I will help you. I am not going to do it for you. That would be pointless you won't learn if I do it for you.

phantom is right. people learn by experimentation. it really wouldn't hurt you to search either. in the scripting help forum, there are several stickies that lead to tutorials on C# programming. i havn't read any of them and i'm already getting this C# thing, although i have had past experience in the C language. its really not as hard as you think, just simple logic statements really.

i've already modified my LoginStats.cs file to display 2 seperate messages, one for my staff and one for my players.

Also, if you look in your LoginStats.cs file and see that message, you can change that message right there. don't even have to remove the variables. just change the message and restart your server to see the changes.

That make an effort to understand someone elses point of view. El Scrubo. I have looked in that forum and guess what? I have downloaded a program to try and have a bash at learning the basics. It's not something someone with 0 programming experience can just pick up in ten minutes. Phantom, yes i search...a lot. And i don't ask for something unless i can't work it out for myself. I'm not disputing that if something is done for me i don't learn...As for the comment regarding the number of posts you have...that was basically saying yes you're experienced and know more than me, and when i have as many posts as you i hope to be as "helpful" as you so often are.

If i had time, i'd sit here all day and try and learn C#. I don't have the time...so i ask for help. Sorry that bugs you guys that know what you're doing *shrugs* i'll just go back to lurking.
