Default freezing problem

yes i really need some help here i need to know how i can make a house a static so if i build a 18x18 custom house and say its a museum but i want it to be a 100% static can anyone help me to get that to happen

you need to get UO Architect from OrBSydia Developer Network 2008
it allows you to do that

or build the house from scratch using statics, using a tool like pandora's box, etc

ok bro i have that but i dont see a way to per say select my house and make it a static i see you can extract it but it is right where i want it to be right now i just want to static it cuz its huge and is causing lag

Whether its static or not, the art still has to be xferred to the client(s). You're not wanting to make it part of the map are you? That would then require anyone that plays your shard to patch their maps.

You can make it all one object, in the sense that you can set it down and move it as one item, by using an add-on generator. Give that a try, maybe that'll make a difference.

no i actually want it to be part of my map we have a auto patch set up that puts it into a temp file so it dont replace the players files so they can play other places as well i need to know how to make it part of the map these will be actual new towns and i dont want the lag

then extract it use UOA, delete house and then place it back using UOA, then freeze & patch it

type [freeze
target area to be froozen
gives warning message, etc, say yes
area frozen
now you need to patch files to players and yourself

it freezes everyhitng in the house yes but bot the house its self you know what i mean you use the house placement tool and make a house in my case a shop i want that shop to be part of the map how do i freeze the actuall HOUSE when i extracted the house with UOA it was very messed up due to the overlapping house plots i used to make it so i need to freeze it as is

that is why you have to use UO Architect to "copy" the house, then delete house and place it back using UOA
then it can be frozen

first i want to thank you all for your responses but i tried that and when i extracted the building it is all messed up because i layered the houses on top of each other to get what i needed and when i extract it it comes out all jacked up thats y i want a way other then that to static it if there is a way i know i got a script from someone that you can make addons statics i was wondering if you could do that with houses as well

houses are multi's not statics, and customizable ones a special hybrid

I have never has trouble with UOA, but that is with svn 162

what you can do is instead of building the house using the house tools, is to use like pandora's box, etc which makes it out of atatic items, then can freeze it wityh no problem

or build it in UOA using its built in designer program and then place and freeze it

ya im starting to figure that out ty but the problem is i have a very large city i did this all to and it just sucks that i cant freeze it all ty all for your help greatly appreciated
