Ok, So I made a very stupid mistake, while putitng in a system and making edits to Playermobile.cs with the serialize and deserialize methods i forgot something then I tried going back moving it to a diff spot and restarting the server I forogot that doing this would cuase a corrupted save, so I went back and commented out as i had it before, I wanted to know if there was any way of making this change without screwing up my Saves and having to delete all the accounts.. m_Wins = reader.ReadInt(): m_Loses = reader.ReadInt(); into the new case 29 section that i have commented out, while also changing my serialization version to 29 I need to do this because without it my Duel Scoreboard wont register the duel kills and standing it will stay blank, but I cant do this without screwing up my Saves, anyone know of a way??

Alright, Im not sure of what you ment, but case 29 wasnt there and hence version 29 wasnt , i serialized at version 28 , but because i had added two variables in the same version of 28 i forgot i needed to split them and made 29 after i had already serialized them in the one, so i messed up =/

If you know the order of how the "corrupt" save was written, you can reload this "corrupt" save.. and have a serialize method that saves it properly or how you want it. You can than change the deserialize method to match the serialize.
Bascially, you want to manipulate the saves by loading it as 29, saving it as 28, and reloading as 28 with the code for 29. Make sure make backups of your "corrupted" saves before you start experimenting! |

Alright let me break it down, i first serialize the version at 28 with the line soteric is asking about , but i realized i needed to make them into there own version to have the script work correctly, so i tried making a version 29 and recompiling which didnt work, it asked if i wantd to remove the playermobile.cs type on server startup hence a corrupt save, so idk what to do to fix that without wiping the saves

Ok, let me rephrase this, I dont actually have a corrupt save, i first serialized the method using this
case 28: { isinchal = reader.ReadBool(); canbechal = reader.ReadBool(); m_TempMount = (BaseMount)reader.ReadMobile(); m_Wins = reader.ReadInt(); m_Loses = reader.ReadInt(); goto case 27; } then a few minutes later I wanted to change it and add in the case 29, after i had already loaded the server and saved it, ... so when i tried to simple move the two parts m_wins and m_loses from case 28 to a new case 29 after i had already saved, it would give me that messed up save..so i didnt do anything..i put it back, hoping to find a way to fix it without cuasing a corrupt save..follow me now?

It's deserializing you post. It couldn't start if you haven't serialized m_Wins and m_Loses before. Anyway if you even somehow serialized them at the place where they are now, you can replace them with any "int a = reader.ReadInt(); int b = reader.ReadInt();" and drop the lines you want (m_Wins, m_Loses) to case 29 section. Server doesn't care about variables, it's just reading bytes...

No, it worked and loaded right, i serialized at version 28 with those variables in case 28 it wasnt registering them on the duel scoreboard i noticed hence i had to move them, so I didnt quiet understand could you explain what i could do to fix it ?
