How to Install UO on kubuntu

Greetings,

Well things are progressing well so far, hopefully you have your version of Linux installed and the latest version of Wine. Now let's install Ultima Online.

Click "K" (you know by now the "START" for you lingering Windows users), then System , then Konsole Terminal Program.

Now put your CD in the drive.

A little Linux vs Windows help here...
ls = dir
cd / = cd
rm = del
mv = move & rename
df -Th = free space on HD

Now type in the following...
cd /media/cdrom0
wine uoml_setup.exe

Go with the UO default directories...wait...wait (hey, this looks just like a Windows install).

When it is done, make sure to check the box to install a desktop icon (this icon will not look correct, until you reboot your PC).

Reboot your PC.

Click the UO icon on the desk and let it patch...wait...wait.

Done! Now you can play on an OSI server.
