Default .Net Framework Initialization Error

Whenever I try start RunUO I get this error:

[.Net Framework Initialization Error]

"Please set the regirstry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to point
to the .NET Framework Install location"

Is there something that I am missing?

I'd suggest either re-installing .Net 1.1 or verifying you installed 1.1 and not 1.0?

Make sure that you are downloading and installing the redistributable .Net, if you're downloading and installing the SDK it won't do a thing for you.

Check the title and the size, the SDK is about 110MB and the redistributable is about 23MB.

Also you can't install the SDK on anything but 2003/2000 Pro/XP Pro

I believe certain versions of NT itself but not the server edition. The download page for the sdk file itself should tell your exact information.

However the Restribute file * 25mb * which is really the .NET Framework can be installed on anything after and including 98 SE ( not sure of the original version though )

Hope that helps and remember we got a search feature.

Or you can modify your registry, just go to START>Run..>and write regedit

Then go to the location and correct the error. Make sure to make a backup or to be carefull with the registry.
