Problems getting connected

hi i have downloaded all the files to get my own run uo having problems connecting . In gate way if i read the fourms right i have my ip addy as
24.1xx.42.xxx that was found in my wincfg i went to the ipweb link and it says 66.18x.xx.xx, so what one do i use in order to connect to uo and do i start uo from gateway
i also went and started the beta32.exe and created my admin name and password and thenit stops at saving world
when i use the 66.18addy it gets stuck on connecting port used is 2593
and before it loads it says problems with virtual memory
any help would be gr8
