I cant get into my game - RunUO

I was able to log in, but when it comes up with the message "entering britan" the client freezes and wont respond anymore. Can anyone help?

hmm what client version? sounds like hwat happend to me and a few people when they didn't have a new enough client to connect with? check and see that it's at least 4.0 L for 2d and 4.0 m or o for 3d and see if that's the trouble. If not let us know that too

that's the problem for sure then, run the uopatch.exe file again and make sure it patches all the way up to at least 4.0 L and you should at least get in, m would be better for sure.

I don't know if osi patchers are down or not either, someone posted on it yesterday or day before so if you get an error that could be what's up there too

hmm yeah someone else posted it in here that they had trouble getting thru to osi's patcher. not sure whats up with it.

I don't know how the patcher works tho, can you just use an updated client? if so if you have icq or msn I'll be glad to zip it up and send it to you if that's all you need.

I'm not sure what is all needed for updating so better make sure it's all you need. Anyone else know if there are other files that should be updated as well for this?

I'm pertty sure that all I need right now is the client, there are a few dll files that come with updating I think but I downloaded all those. I would appreciate it if you could send me the zip on msn. What your screenname?

also the best idea isn't possible if osi isn't letting people patch at the moment so guess that's why we opted with the send the client option

oh ok

fresh install is always best anyways as the patches add animations and such just sending the 4.0.0.o client for instance he wont be able to see custom houses as he wont have any of the graphic files as those arent in the client upon many other things

ahh yes that's what I was wondering and was asking about a bit up the post in here. hmm well it's up to him/her what they wants to do I guess. I'll send it if they want. But yeah would be ideal for fresh install but of course either way they are back to square one if unable to patch so wouldn't help at the moment then.

Please don't request or offer client files on the forums. The best idea in this case is to do a fresh install of UO and fully patch. There is a lot more that just the client.exe involved.
