Could use a little help... - RunUO

I an new to RUNUO, but have used UOX and UOXC in the past. I downloaded RUNUO-Beta-34, extracted it to my drive with no modifications. I then installed UO: AOS from the CD, and changed the login.cfg to point at 127.0.0.1,2593 I started the server and used UOGateway to log in. This worked fine, but my spellbook had 64 spells but looked empty...I read that I needed to Patch up to fix this, so I put the old login.cfg back and Patched my client. Now when I try to log in, I select my Shard and get 'Connecting...' the other computers on my network behave the same way, the see my shard and try to log in, but get stuck connecting...any idea what happened? I have already deleted RUNUO, and reextracted it and created my ADMIN acount all over, but this changed nothing....

Your still using uo gateway 1.8 correct?

First off, you really don't need to change your Login.cfg in any way. UO Gateway takes care of that for you. Also, did you specify to decrypt the client in the UO Gateway configuration? RunUO requires a decrypted client. Another question... did you run RunUO.exe or RuoService.exe?
Which version of .net are you using?
I hate answering a myriad of questions, myself, but it's necessary.

Ah, I did not realize UOGateway took care of Lofin.cfg....My .NET Framework is v1.0.3705....I ran the RUNUO.exe, the RUOService does not work for me it says it must be installed first, I used UOGateway 1.8 and UOGlite2D, I did not see a setting about Client encryption, I do have the Client set to Normal Client 2D in UOGateway...I am running Windows XP Pro for my OS...

Also, if I change my Login.cfg, DO NOT patch AOS, and use UOGlite2D, I can log in from the server itself, but when another PC on the network does, it lets them create a Chracter but the server PC reboots when they try to enter britannia.... :?

You need .net 1.1, BTW.

Secondly you should patch all the way to 4.0.0o

Third, use UOGateway 1.8, not the lite version (Shouldn't matter, but you never know)
