Default Am wondering..

I had a pretty sweet shard a few years ago, I think on Sphere. I had about 220 people that came and went and a few people that helped keep things going. I am looking to make another shard now.
What do I have to do to get my own shard going up? I was never much of a programmer, but am not a total idoit. I read the set up and all, but was not sure if that was for joining shards or running one. I am probably just going to do a basic one for now, but as before do some big expansions as I get things going. Not sure if anybody has introduced races, underground cities, more spells, and such, but that is what I am looking at. In other words, a lot of work, but rewarding in the end. Speaking of work, if there is anybody that is intrested in helping out, thta would be great.

Only two steps

1) Install 1.1 .NET Framework
2) Run RunUO.exe

Then everything else would mean you would have to edit classes or create new ones for new stuff.

Where do you get that from? I think I have .net on my comp, just did not see any version info. I did not see it in the download section. After which I can have people on? Do I still need a world file or anything for a server?
When I did Sphere (or the one before that), I needed a world file, then needed to add spawn points, vendors, doors and everything else. What is a good admin prog for RunUO? I played UO since beta, and had my server up for about 6 months before somebody hacked it (would not give them godly powers). I am not totally unfamiliar with runing a server, it has just been a while and not familiar with this software. Does it support AOS?

Based on your other posts, I think you are past the Framework issue. But for the benifit of others; You can download the .NET Framework here... Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package

...since I just know that throngs of people will do a search and wind up looking at this thread! (...right...)

Yeah, I believe I had the correct version; at least that is what the CFG file said. Never really bothered to look at the file, well at least others might be able to get it a little easier for a few days then..
