A lot of pets on the server i am GM for are getting guardwhacked. I expiramented with a player character, walking around with a White Wyrm, saying all stay, all follow me, etc. Eventually a guard popped out of nowhere and killed it.
Any ideas? It was tame, not targeting anything, nothing targeted it (i think) |

I have the same issue on mine. Doesn't matter if the tamed creature is blue or gray, it still gets whacked. It's most frustrating to my players because they'll tame a wyrm, stable it, then all of a sudden they retrieve it, and it gets whacked..

if a banker, or most npcs see something grey, wich tamed creatures are even after there tamed for a period, they will call guards in the fear of there life being threatoned... the best way to prevent this is to wait till the creature is blue before going into town

Duh, most of us are not newbies to UO man. We know about the grey tames getting killed. What we are having problems with is the fact that our guards are killing pets, blue, grey or whatever. And no, we have no auto agressive script on the pets.

actually your wrong... most of the people i see posting here are newbs, and auto agression wouldnt matter anyway being that that makes them target greys and reds not blues...

In doing some thorough testing, I think it might have to do with the rate at which loyalty decays on the pets. I noticed that it didn't happen when the creature was blue, but when it was gray. I would store the pet in the stables, wait a few hours, then come back and claim it in town, and BAM.. guard whacked. Now the question is, how does one slow down loyalty? A small nudge in the right direction will suit me fine. I don't need to be totally hand-held.

The poster named LordOmega solved this on his shard for me (his only tamer at the time). It turns out there are two types of guards and one of them is a trouble-maker (archer?).
PM him and let us know. I'm no coder yet so I won't be much help myself ops: |

This has to do with the creature package that comes with the Bobsmart spawn pack. Remove the permanent archer and warrior guards that come with his (they're bugged obviously) and use the default ones. It will solve your problem. I used the Bobsmart creatures before Beta 35 due to the extra AoS monsters, now it's irrelevant.
