I'm looking for a few recommendations and/or prefered methods to fully spawn my shard(only Fel). Yes I know there are a plethora of them out there and I've looked over all of them carefully, but I'd like to hear some opinions on ones that a majority of people stand behind and support to the fullest.
When I started working on my shard a few weeks ago, I was sucked into spawning my world the easy way and went with Bobsmart's package, but it's a package that's just too customized and most of what it contains just doesn't fit into the big picture of where I plan to take my shard. I don't want another highly customized package like Bobsmart's, I'm stictly looking for a basic spawner that can easily spawn Fel dungeons and wild, and spawn T2A lands and that's it. Or should I just spawn my entire world by hand? Any thoughts and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated. |

Personally I'd vote for spawning the world by hand, but if not, Atomic's Spawner has some world spawn files for it I believe, they should pop up in a search, they're around here somewhere

By hand is still the best way to get "exactly what you want". With every spawn package, there will ALWAYS be areas that aren't "right".
They work as a good placeholder until you can get around to that area, though. (This is how I did Ilsh... Spawner pack, then went back over THE ENTIRE map on OSI with one client, and my shard with another, and "fixed" the spawns... There is not a single "spawn packed" spawner in Ilshenar on my shard anymore)

If these guys tell you what to find, you should go find it yourself, not gonna spoon feed you here lol.

None of them are that good (by default)
The new Doom Dungeon is a great example: It takes the monsters "from that area" and just kinda puts a bunch there... No rhyme or reason. (Exact quote:(not EXACTLY as osi, but contain the same monsters[get in uostratics]) ) Just having the same monsters doesn't really work. There needs to be variable homepoints, wanderpoints, etc. I just finished (this morning) spawning Doom by hand (Was on OSI with one client, was on my shard with another), and if you just picked all the mosters that Stratics lists, and put them in, it won't match Doom. There are rooms that have certain monsters in certain locations, and they either don't leave that area, or don't wander far from it. From when I tested them, 90% of the time they spawned areas A: with too many creatures, B: with the WRONG creatures, and C: without regard to areas surrounding them. This was the case with dungeon spawners, world spawners for Fel/Tram (Those were at least tolerable), or "special location" spawners.

Yes, I know what you mean. I applied Bob Smart's, went to my favorite Deamon spawn in OSI Ilshinar and found WHAT???? ETTINS???!!! AND ONLY 2???!!! Seriously, it's a lot of work to do it by hand and I DO have a job you know. About having Doom open in another client, I've never found Doom someplace I could just wander around analyzing the spawns at without fearing for my life. What you do, go in your OOoOOOoooOO suit?

Yup. I have a character on my Atlantic account named Scout. His job is to stay dead, and search out spawn points :->
Though when he DOES live (Wandering healer, occasional shrine, whatever), he tends to find A LOT of discarded loot... Which then goes to my real character on the account ;-> It took me three days (Two sundays and a saturday) of about... I'd say two hours each to spawn Malas. Took CONSIDERABLY longer to do Ilsh. (Prolly... I dunno... 8 days-4 hours a day... Mostly on weekends, so... Month and a half) Fel/Tram are in a state of "usable but not 100%"... They're close enough for now, but still have room for improvement.

Hey, small world (or is it small shard?) Atlantic is my stomping grounds too! Gotta love those Imps the way they kick you in the shins while you battle the Daemons near the Ancient Wrym Lair. I've gotten killed more because of them damn things than the Daemons themselves.
