Default Client could not attach

When my fried tries to log onto my server he gets to the "coose your server window" and he chooses my server. Then it tries to connect and displays this message

The client could not attach to the game server. It must have been taken down, please wait a few minutes and try again.

Now im running a local server from uogateway all the ports and ip's are correct. But i have no clue what is wrong with the client...'

any suggestions?

You need to forward the port to your server.

that could be any number of reasons,
the two that comes to mind first is the ip address in you serverlist.cs
is prolly not set
or you port forwarding not set right

Port forwarding is in your router setup

Yes, i changed the serverlist.cs file where it looks like

public const string Address = null;

public const string ServerName = "RunUo Test Center";

to:

public const string Address = 24.186.0.n;

public const string ServerName = "(myserver name)";

If you don't have a router you don't need to do that.

But whatever...I know you have something blocking your traffic, your job to tell us what it is.

lol
well sorry im out of this one you will have to have someone else help you
i would make sure i had my IP address right by going to
www.whatismyip.com
also you may try putting your serverlist.cs back to null since its supose to
work this way if your not behind a router.
also i would check my firewall if you have one installed
thats about all i can think of atm

well, when i change that line back to null, he cant even get to the shard select screen. but when its there he can get to that screen, then he clicks the shard and it stops responding. on the RunUo server it says hes connected, but then he gets disconnected right away.
