Probs w/account creation I think. - RunUO

For some reason after create a new account from admin gump server hangs, doesn't do a full crash, ie doesn't leave a log, just sticks.

Doesn't do it all the time just some of the times.

Any ideas on this.

I do not run client on shard box.

Shard box dedicated win2k, amd2600 1 gig. Built specifically for shard and runs nothing but shard. Running beta 36. I do run a ton of custom scripts, very few core script changes.

Ran bare bones out of the box as a beta 36 and same thing happened,
I did it on dev box and it erased my saves folder in its entirity and crashed the server. I was using a client on same box on dev server for this little experiment.

I never had this problem on Beta35. Appreciate any help or suggestions, really hate the auto account thing (for my shard anyway) , like to solve this prob.

Doesn't happen to me.

so it must be your custom scripts.

But he did say he got the same problem with the distro package too. So its not gonna be custom scripts as the distro he tried of course wouldn't have had any. Would have to be an issue with configuration, or some kind of issue between the different pieces of software.

Happens on standard release also, no mods of any kind excet for ip changes. Tested that prior to posting. Figured it might be.

I rarely post here been using runuo since 28 and this is first time this has been an issue. I mostly dev on 2 shards one of the shards One shard I dev for is still at 35, mine is at 36. doesn't happen on 35 shard just 36 shard. I run a couple hondred customs on both, most non relient on core scripts.

Doesn't happen to me all the time just sometimes, I have noticed that it happens less when players are logged in. and i do a save as soon as i create a new account.

This is about as stripped down win2k server as i know how to build, no bells or whistles, just made for the shard, nothing else.

If it is config sure don't know what, wish i did.

Thought maybe with the large, and in many casses good changes to admin that something may have been overlooked.

Try forcing some driver updates, or re-applying some Windows update fixes. Sometimes they just don't take right the first time around.
