Isn't there a way to see the people that are logged off as an admin? I had a shard back in the day, and we were able to see the people logged off (just faded), and could edit props on them and such. Is there a command to allow you to do this, or is this option no longer availible?

That sounds like something Sphere had. On RunUO logged off characters are sent to the internal map. This helps reduce lag. If you really want to see a logged off character do the [admin function and call the logged off char to you. Be warned that if you don't send the same character back to the internal map they may have difficulty logging back in.

Yeah, it was a Sphere server. Way back in the day. Okay, another stupid question. What do you mean "Internal Map"? How do I grab/send people to/from there?

To get them from the internal map use [admin, to send them back I just log on as them and log out in an Inn.

Okay, that makes sense. I am guessing that it would be okay to log out same place they did? I figured to have a little fun with a newbie killer I have.

yes you COULD send them back that way...but it is better and easier to just [set map internal on them also this way there is no suspicion as to why they are not where they logged out at.

Ahhh...okay! Now I know what that command is for.

Shows how unique everything is here. I only have about 20 people on my shard, but more or less just playing around trying to get the hang of RunUO's stuff. Still trying to figure out scripting. Can not find a good (and free) program to use for scripting. I probably have one though and do not even know it.

Scripting is done is C#, if you do a Google search on it you will find an abundance of resources.

SharpDevelop is good, and if you can find the topic about getting Intellisense working in Visual Studio, SharpDevelop also supports this handy feature.

I thought that you could use notpad, but when I save a file (demo.cs) as such, it still shows as a text file! How do I change that?

Save as - "demo.cs"

Will not add the txt extention

I did that, and it shows as a text anyway. I will have to figure out what I did. Probably something stupid. Or maybe the program just needs to see it first.

It will always "show" as a text file... That's all a .cs file is.

As long as it's a .cs, it's fine. What it looks like doesn't matter.

RunUO should still read it and compile it.

ok when i save mine id name it demo.cs and in the box underneath that make sure it says all files

also in the future if you forget to do the ""'s you can just open any folder and hit tools and then select folder options go to the view tab and scroll down to where it says 'Hide Extensions For Known File Types' remove that check and you'll be able to see the .txt's on the end of the files from then on all you do then is rename them to .cs
