Default Newb needs help with server

ok I decided to attempt to start my own server for fun and i have run into some problems. First of all whenever i stry to connect it to the internet it comesup with a message saying "Cannot start service from the command line or debugger. A windows service mst first be installed (using installutil.exe) then started with server explorer, window services administrative tool or the NET start command"

Can you tell me what to do?

And my second problem is I can't figure out how to open and save .cs files.

I am too impatient to look through any non-sticky posts.

Thanks for all the help.

First problem: run server.exe (unless of course you wanted to run a service instead)

Second problem: you can open the files in notepad/wordpad. Then can be saved with these same programs, by just changing the .txt (etc) in the save box to a .cs

Alternatively you could do a Google search for something like C# compilers

use notepad to view them, what you do is double click the .cs file, a popup window will come up askingwhat program you should use to open these files, select notepad. aww look there is your .cs file.
and to save it, click the file menu then save as and put filename.cs press save. Look it's saved oh shock horror.
