Default Requesting Help...

Umm running my server thoguht Upgateway, when people try to connect to my server it just freezes on connecting and says "Valid credentials" User dissconnected...

Well under Serverlist.cs what IP should i put it... 192.168.1.101 (used this to connect my frontend.exe program) or should i use my real real ip (from www.whatismyip.com). And also does everyoen who plays my server need to have their login.cfg delted or use my IP?

If they use UOGateway, they just use your IP in that. Doesn't require them to edit ANYTHING.

If they use UORice, then they must manually edit their login.cfg

In ServerList, use the www.whatismyip.com address.

In UOGateway they have to set it to remove encryption.

Follow the link below, and follow the steps that Phantom has laid out, in exactly the way he says to do so. That is how to configure for a router connection.

He tells you what to do in the first few lines of the page, above where he posted the script. Once you have followed his directions I will point you to the FAQ that will tell you how to forward the ports on your router.

* This detection, however, does not work for servers behind routers. If you're running behind a router, put in your IP:
* private const string Address = "??????????";

67.80.126.232 (Public IP) or 127.0.0.1

Anything between /* and */ means NOTHING. It's just a comment. It does nothing, it affects nothing, it is there just to read. RunUO does not use it at all. You could write Mary Had A Little Lamb and it wouldn't make a difference.

Everything AFTER the comments is important. The comments are there just to explain what you need to do in the rest of the file, that's all.

You DO know what to put there, though ;->

You already said it

Quote:
private const string Address = "??????????";
Where the ?????'s are, put your IP from www.whatismyip.com

Just make sure you put it in the one that's NOT in the comments ;->

More or less. You can also change your shard's name there (Where it says RunUO Test Center), and the port it's on (No need to change that, reallY)

Yea one last thing i gotta check out, under that section it says go to my network settings and put in your own IP/submask.... Now should i put my Public Ip in? or my 192.168.1.101? for the first part? It looks like this right now.

IP-192.168.1.101
submask-225.225.225.0
(Forgotname)IP-192.168.1.1
