Exclamation Server Freeze - Devs, Any Insight?

Significant lag first, then 100% CPU utilization without being able to connect to.

Thread status in debugger:

- usual timer, scripts, and AoS compression thread - continue running normally. Yes, scripts isnt in infinite loop state, they run, but you are unable to connect to server anyway.

- one thread is running in System.Net.IPEndPoint.Serialize

- A LOT (like hundred or more) of threads is running in System.Threading.Overlapped.Unpack

Any insight? These freezes happen quite regularly for us.

RC0

No custom scripts, just some parameters tweaks to standard ones (like longer time between saves, felucca RoA in Malas, disabled Trammel)

Hardware - PIV 1.6 Ghz, 1 Gb RAM (about 450 Mb is used by RunUO process)
OS - Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition

I've been getting alot of freezes too. Many the last three days, except with almost every freeze, within 2 minutes I crash with the crash reports being one of the two following: Exception: System. ArgumentOutOfRangeRxception: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: Index

or this one: Exception: System.ArguementNullException: Key can not be null.
Parameter name: Key

I haven't added anything new to the scripts in the last couple of weeks, so I can discount it being a new script.

I run the RunUO 1.0 on a Microsoft Windows 2000, 40GB harddrive, 2 Gig RAM and a 100Mbps connection. The server is on a dedicated server thru a professional company.

Any ideas on what could be causing the freezes and crashes?

You should read Ryan's post about how to load .NET to be able to use more then the default RAM usage. This will allow you to use more RAM then its being allowed to use. Not saying it will fix your problem, not even sure because you really didn't tell us anything about the usage when you get that. Sounds like you should just autorestart runuo every 24 hours.

If u mean havs it caused spikes, no it hasnt. I watch it and it it usually only using like 4% of RAM. At highest we might go up to a 8% usage.
