I have two computers on ADSL through a router Computer1 has the runuo server people can log on to server from the internet Computer2 cannot log on to server .....why not? Cant log on useing the silver or the blue icon in UOG. I checked the ips so many times its not funny (was thinking it had to be ip conflict) I set port forwarding on the router and internet users have no prob getting on!! Help me OBwan moderator your my only hope ) |

What ip address does Computer2 try to connect to? It should use the exact same one the Internet users use. However some routers (netgear) do not allow you to connect that way. In that case you need to use one of the ServerList scripts that has been modified for dual connection points.

Thank you david for the input , i tried the new serverlist.cs and all is good in the world again. I was at my wits end , i tried logging on with both the internet ip and my local ip and nothing worked but soon as i used your script , everything works fine now, so again i say thank you.

Dude, use the original serverlist.cs without any mod.. And try to log using the Local Network IP, not the one found in www.whatismyip.com !
This will work, using the serverlist posted by david, it donnot support local answering... |

Dude, did you read his post?
Quote:
In most cases the ip you say not to use is exactly the correct one to use. Your case is apparently different and Demensha's is also different. It depends mostly on your firewall and hardware or software router. Regardless, this particular issue is fixed. And for the record, an off the shelf ServerList works for me, the one I linked to was written by MrFixit. It has helped a lot of people get up and running.
