reinstalling UO will restore your maps and statics to their original states (all of your .mul files). It will not change your spawns or any additional decorations that you have added to your shard unless you have frozen them into a custom map.
Are you trying to restore the original UO Ilshenar map or a custom one?

Note, I am talking about reinstalling the UO client from your original CDs, not the RunUO server.

It is your map that is messed up, right? RunUO uses certian files from the UO client, including the maps. Normally a copy of the client is installed on the server computer to ensure that the required files are present and easily kept current. Reinstalling the UO client on the server computer will replace the map files that the server uses. Just be sure to fully patch to the current osi release after you reinstall.

Do not reinstall RunUO itself, and your world saves will be fine. (A backup never hurts though.)

Plz specify what is wrong...

Do you know how to use the freeze anhd unfreeze command? This command are used to add or remove statics from the original map... If your work were added to this file, you cannot save your work because just you said... You screwed up the map file.

The spawners, npcs, scripts and everything that is not static will be saved in your items, and reinstalling UO you won't loose the things.

you need to look in your misc/datapath.cs and find out whether you have specified a custom path

Code:
/* If you have not installed Ultima Online,
		 * or wish the server to use a seperate set of datafiles,
		 * change the 'CustomPath' value, example:
		 *
		 * private const string CustomPath = @"C:\Program Files\Ultima Online";
		 */
		private static string CustomPath = null;
if you use the default, then it will just use the client maps. If you have specified a path, then you need to fix them there (i.e. replace with the default client .muls)
