Default Could not attach to server

Hi,
When I launch the server everything goes fine, he detects all my IPs (loopback, LAN and internet) but *some* clients can't attach to the server unless I write down my ip in the ServerList.cs. I said some coz some can but not everyone. I have a cable modem and not a fix IP so it bothers me a little to change the scripts everytime my IP changes.

I have 2 network cards so maybe that is the problem. (I also use Win2k and *NO* I won't upgrade to XP )

Default get this

you have to make it a dns such as forexample.no-ip.org,2593

Go to http://www.no-ip.org/ and signup and download the clietn its all free. then go to server and look at sticky's post if you have any problem. oh and dont forget to forward the server to the port 2593 on your router if you have a router if not just forget about this line that i just wrote.

hope it helps.

You can still use a dynamic DNS without a router, the whole purpose there is to not have to worry about your ip changing. As to some can connect and some can't, that sounds like a client problem to me. Are they all fully patched and not using encryption?

They can't attach when I use the default mode but they can when I write down my IP. The thing is, some people can connect when I use the default mode. So it isn't really a client problem. It's as if the server was sending a wrong IP. The can connect to another RunUO shards also.

PS : I read about the dns stuff, I just wanted to understand and maybe point out a bug in the server.

But, if some people can connect that tells me the server side is ok. Therefore, if some people can't I would approach it from a client standpoint. I would ask are those people fully patched and running clients without encryption?

They did, even reinstalled. The thing is they used to be able to connect before I install this second network card. The only ones that could were using the same ISP.
