Default Cant see Skills in Skills Gump.

Right I may aswell fess up now I am using an older client (the standard 2D one installed from a UO:3D disk) and everything works well apart from one thing. I cant see my skills in the gump brought up from the skills button. I know runuo doesnt support older clients but just wondering if this is done by the core or scripts where values are taken from. Hope someone can help.

I do not know the EXACT problem of this but I did attempt to use Ultima Online renassance on a RUO server and I was not able to see anything like I did wit a bigger version. I am not saying that its the problem I am just saying what happened and what COULD be the problem. I would suggest a more upgraded version.

with the older versions the main problem is the names of the items as the majority (or maybe all) the cliloc's arent there. They get added with a patch later on in the process. Because of this you have to add every item manually which is fine in my case as im reverting to old style text (asciimessage). The only thing that is stopping my shard functioning fine is the skills gump. If its in the core then ill modify it same with scripts lol. Just need to work out what does the values (thinking its the core). any more ideas??

The skills gump uses a cliloc... maybe thats the problem.
Your best bet is to use AOS (you can download the demo for free), and then emulate the oldschool style.

ahhh thank you for the info. I thought about using the AOS client but only problem is I dont want the horrible status bar which shows followers or the char creation screen with paladin or necro proffesions. I didnt think that skils gump would be a cliloc as I can see the it all perfectly apart from it shows all skills as 0 even after I have done for example [setallskills 100. It just seems like the client isnt recieving the skill values. Is this still cliloc based??
