Logging In Issue... - RunUO

I've recently been going through RunUO and trying to get it to work. I seem to be having a small problem.

I'm trying to log in to my server, all is good, I log in, then when I create my character, it stays on that screen with the grey background and the quit button at the upper right. With the dragon border.

I'm just wondering what is going on, if you all could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

P.S. I've been doing some searches here for the past 10 minutes and can't find anything related to this. Thanks for the help.

this happens to me also.
what i do is create the character, then get frozen, then i shut down UO and not RUnuo, then i log back in, my char is in charector list, i logon with character and it works. dont know why it does that.. but i hope this helps =/

Make sure that you have the latest client patch to UO. (Connect to the OSI patch server and patch your client. Should be 4.0.10b.

If you are using UOG, make sure you have that latest version as well.

Do you require to have the latest patch with the client?

I was hoping that you could just install a version of UO, then connect in with a standard install. Not having to patch anything.

You have to patch for that to work. In your EA Uo folder there is a file called UoPatch.exe. You can use that as an alternative to starting the game.
