command prefix

i posted this in the wrong forum so Im gonna post it here. Ohms law was good enough to answer me, but that didnt solve the problem
I edited the handlers file to map the ` key for commands.
restarted the server and im still not getting the command prefix correct.
can someone give a newb a step by step to geting this thing to work?

once again, editing the handler file alone does NOT solve the prob!

im a newb too, for sure. But I did notice a difference when you are at the server itself compared to loggin on from a different computer. On the server I had to use the bracket followed by a space then another bracket, whereas on the other computer I could just use the bracket alone.

So, maybe try adding a space before the command????

Hitting the spacebar before typing [ does work. That's a way to do it if you don't want to modify anything though.

Yes it does, I have done it, and it fixed the problem.
