Use the [admin command, then click Account List, select an account, select a character, pull them, say [set player false, then [delete. Same thing if they are logged on. [set player false, [delete.

horrible way to do this, anyone who knows anything at all about RunUO would never suggest this, DO NOT DO THIS.

This can cause like the players house to become orphaned. As an ADMIN you should NOT delete player characters.

I don't know why you would want to delete players...If your going to do that you mine as well delete the whole account so the house and everything will go away.

houses on OSI belong to the account, not to the player. RunUO might want to alter their code.

Please explain to me another way to do it, Phantom, so that I may learn.

I told him my way, that directly answered his question, but if you have a better way...

Please post it.

To delete the character/characters when you get to the character selection highlight the one you want to get rid of and hit delete, but the character has to be 7 days old.

Houses are connected to the house also, you still delete the owner of the house, and are left without an owner if you delete a player's character.

As an admin you shouldn't delete a player's character.

Errrr...I'm pretty sure there's a delete command in the [admin menu. If there isn't, and you **NEED** to delete a character, you can change the pw of the account and delete the char.

Meh.

Players can delete their house owner too and think they would be on the save side, as they would really be on OSI. In fact it happened already.

The administrator should NEVER delete the players character. By default after seven days the player can delete their own character.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should do it. And I really don't care who disagrees.

We were just answering the question...not like we're endorsing this course of action...

He could have had motive or a reason to delete a character forcefully and as soon as possible.

You do not know that, so I answered quickly and to the point.

I did not ask why, I just assumed if he needed to know bad enough, I would tell him the sloppy way.

Once again:

We were just answering the question...not like we're endorsing this course of action...

I actually wasn't ragging on you guys, I was, in reality, ragging on Kyleiscool15.
If he has reason to prevent a player from being used then he should simply change the password on the account so that the player can not access that character, or at the very worst delete the account related to the character in question. Otherwise all kinds of messes get left behind.

I apologize that I did not make that clearer.

I knew you weren't ragging on us. I know you better.

I would have also told him to directly ban/firewall/change the password of said account, but I was tired and decided to toss him the answer he was looking for.

*shrug*
