What are the vital files that i'll need to save so that I can backup my shard, or perhaps transfer it to my other comp? The space is limited, im triying to save it onto an atache'.

if your shard is distro, ie no custom scripts then all you need is your save folder. if you have custom scripts then your gonna need your save folder and those scripts that are custom. your still gonna have to install the distro on the other computer though, so the best thing you can do is get an archive program such as winrar or 7zip and just periodically zip your whole runuo folder then you have a complete copy of your shard. coupled with a usb stick you have instant runuo whereever you go.

With differant IPs its like running two seperate shards on diff host. Its like the same party at two houses. And even if you ran a shard that was exactly the same on the same IP but diff comp nothing would happen. Many people run clone shards for testing their scripts before adding them to their published shard.
I dont think gateway would let someone publish the same shard under the same port and IP number that and besides to publish your shard on diff comps but the same IP would mean you are using a router and thats a whole new ball game. You would have to at least change the port. I dont think you would get any connections to either of your shards. |
