I reinstalled runuo & the .net framework. Still getting this error.
![]() Ok i followed the "The Runuo how to in lamers (err.. lames) terms" to a "T". I downloaded runuo into the c: drive, just by its self, it dosent have to be in the offical ultima game file dose it? I got .net, i rebooted, i just cant see why this wont work. Yes i got uogateway, maybe something not set in there??? Ahh help! |

OK...screw all the directions.
Do this: 1. d/l a *fresh* copy of RunUO 1.0 from the site. 2. Unzip said fresh copy. 3. Start said fresh copy. If it still gives you errors: 1. Uninstall .NET Framework 1.1, 1.0, 2.0, and any other version you may have. 2. Reboot. 3. Install .NET Framework 1.1 4. Try again with the fresh RunUO copy from section 1. If it STILL gives you errors...I give up.

if im reading your post right you only downloaded the .net 1.1 sdk redistributable. you still need the .net 1.1 framework. i dont understand/know all the differences but i think thats where you problem lies. you can have both installed together but you need the framework at a minimum. if you cant find the redistributable on the ms site what you can do is go into your control panel, add/remove programs, and uninstall anything that is .net framework, then reboot and run windows update. the .net framework should then be there for updating. hope this helps.
