ok the command i found to turn guards on is [setguarded true anyway this command does not seem to work. Keeps saying not a guardable region and i'm in town, so whats the deal?

Are you by chance using Gigaspawner on your shard? If so this is a known issue, and Phantom is working on fixing it in the next release.

Your disconnected issue has NOTHING to do with Giga Spawner.
