Dual servers on one pc

I know this has been asked alot of times but reading the results of my searches they didnt really ask what i am asking. Is it possible to install and run a test server on my computer while running my shard on the same pc? I have renamed my test server, changed the port number in the serverlist.cs, and this is the error i get:

application has generated an exception that could not be handled

click cancel to debug the application

the server wont completely load and this window pops up then when i click ok i get this in the server window:

any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for any and all help

You didn't rename the application exe did you?

You cannot do that...

I changed the folder name to RunUO 1.1, the serverlist.cs to port 2595, and the server to RunUO 1.1.

Read my reply again, because clearly you should read it again, I was very clear in my post. I refuse to repeat myself, so if you have done what I think you did, you should read my post again.

On a separate note, if you have any significant amount of players and items (ie 50 active players +, or 200k+ items) you'll destroy your main server's performance by running a second Server.exe (hint hint) on the same physical machine.

Clearly he doesn't have 50 players or even close to that number.

So I doubt he will even have a problem, because he won't run the shard longer then a month before getting tired of it.

Anyone that couldn't read my first post, and understand what I was trying to say, shouldn't run a shard.

I did read your post and replied to it and explained to you what I changed, no need to be so rude, all I wanted to do is run a test shard besides my main shard so that I can test my scripts like I used to do with 36, and also for a side note I have had my shard up for a long time and I do not run it for the masses but for some very good friends who like to play on a private shard without all the headaches and hassles of pvp and crybabys whining about everything else, all I was asking if something had changed because all I had to do last time was rename the folder, server, and change the port setting in serverlist.cs. If you know of a change please lead me to the right direction, if you don't then please do not reply, I am looking for server support not round about answers, flaming, or making me feel as if I do not belong in the RunUO community!

And btw I have figured it out about 10 minutes after posting this reply so thank you for attempting to help??
