Just to clarify, you do mean the picture you see when the client loads right after you click a shard on the UOG list right? What I call a login screen other people wouldn't, so I don't want to give wrong info. You can use Photoshop or anything like that to make a login screen, and they're .BMP files. If you have MulPatcher, load the Gump files in there. Click the Gumps(non-anim) tab on the bottom. That's the file where the login screen, buttons, paperdoll, radar map, and a ton of other things are. If you find the login screen slot, right-click and save it and then you can open that up in an editor, find out what size it is, and make a login the same size. When you're ready to load your new login in, you would open the Gump files in MulPatcher again, and overwrite the original login. Anything you want to change as far as interface goes is in there, except the backpack. Oddly enough, the backpack is under the Gumps(anim) tab.

ok, that's where everything goes completely wrong... I've downloaded mulpatcher, and tried oh, over a hundred times to get it to work. when I click on a tab at the bottom (after loading all the files) I get nothing. No pics show up, no files, nothing. Think I'm a total blond or downloaded a bad copy.

So, you load MulPatcher. You scroll left to the Settings tab. You click the Load button right near where it says Gumpart.mul and gumpidx.mul. You choose where to load the 2 gump files from, and you hit the Load button, but nothing happens? If that's the case, and you did it exactly like that, it sounds like you're loading empty files. Try loading the ones from your UO directory, just as a test, to see if they load. And as for editors, Photoshop, Paintshop, Corel...I'm sure there's more, but the only one I'm really familiar with is Photoshop. It's what I used to make custom logins and such for my shard.
