Have you made any Core mods?
What kind of script mods have you made?

Do you get this with a clean install?

I have all the necessary datafiles in a subfolder in RunUO folder, copied over from a client patched up to 5.0.4c
On the offchance that that may have been the problem I installed a client on that PC and patched it up. No luck, still getting the same error.

Windows 98/ME, def.

The exception is caused because on said platform there is no envirment var. for the number of cpus your comp has. You would need to mod the core to add a null check and return 0 if indeed its null.

At any rate, I dont suggest trying to run a 2.0 server on 98/ME, maybe testing but not actually running a production shard.

If you REALLY want to run a production shard on 98/ME I would continue to use RunUO 1.0.
