Are you running WIN98?

If you are go read the post. If your not then ignore this post.

Clients can't connect in Win98 SOLVED 2 NIC card issue

In order for me to get internet users to get into my server I had to disable my LocalAreaNetwork NetworkInterfaceCard, then internet people could log in. I actually went a step farther and uninstalled Internet Connection Sharing first then disabled the NIC card but I'm thinking you could just disable the card and try it. If you are not a technical person please don't try to disable any devices on your machine. I don't want to try to troubleshoot any problems you might have over a forum. Of course you know what disabling your LAN means you won't be able to use any of your other machines on the internet if you make this change for me it didn't matter I needed to know what the problem was. Now I have to try to find another solution to my problem. Good luck, to you.

192.168.0.1

You have a local network IP Why.

Only time you get that is when you have a router, or a strange setup to have a home network.

Look see if you have a router, if not ask somebody who knows your setup.

Do you have a firewire port? Is it bridged? Try disabling the firewire port and bridge if you have one.
