Default Unfreezing/Freezing?

Code:
 * private const string CustomPath = @"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Ultima Online Samurai Empire";
		 */
		private static string CustomPath = @"C:\FreezeFiles";
Ok i tried changeing the second path to where my freezefiles were but it says using same data patch anyhow? If i just leave it as is will it work and just save directly to my server? I am altering this on my test server that is a duplicate of my public one so i can just upload patches after..

In that file should be a list of... files. Copy those into a different directory, then point datapath to the directory with the copies, and have yourself a merry time.

I did that but keep getting the using same data path error. I will put the folder containing coppies in the ea folder as well see if that makes a difference.

You mean (Look at this from the side, as if you were standing next to a building)

Will just change into nothing? No, thats map files. If when you prop's something, and you can't change anything, it can't get deleted.
You'll just delete statics, items, and mobiles.

use the freezefile folder one and not the other one

make sure it is not commentent out

restart server

unbfreeze items - should come up with comfirmation box
then will say how many items were removed, etc
YOU WILLL STILL SEE THEM IN GAME even if you do a wipe
you then need to make a patch and do the patch stuff through UOG, etc and restart your client to see them wiped out

if you freeze items, they will disapear in game until you make the patch

Default freeze/unfreeze

ok i get what you are saying but it still will not work. when i make sure it not commentent i get errors about the "custompath" in lines 38,39 and 48,49 says the name 'custompath' does not exist in the curent context. i have also noticed in the freeze post where i have been tring to get this to work it say this"* VerData.mul - *** NOTICE: You will ONLY find this file IF you are using an OLDER UO client, example: Not patched past 4.0.0 via OSI ***" i have the 9th aniv. fully patched to 5.0.6d (patch 34) but that file is still showing up. should i copy that file as well to my freezefiles folder. i am so mistified about why this will not work that i am about to give up and thats not in my nature to do so. i know i have done the other things right as i have done them over and over agin to make sure.

Default freeze/unfreeze

i did not get an answer but thats ok as a friend of mine told me how to do it and it was something very simple. all i needed to do is make sure i made the files in my freezefiles readable. and for those of you who dont know no you dont need the verdata file thats in in your uo folder.

There is no verdata.mul in newer UO versions anymore.

Can anyone explain the process of unfreezing? For example: How long it takes, Does it bog down the server, Does it kick players off the game, Will it restart RunUO when it competes, Does it state somewhere when it's done and if it completed with no problems {does it say this in the RunUO Console?} Advance Thanks for all who take the time to answer these questions it will be most appreciated!

THANKS!!

Any of the same answers for the Freezing process will be great too!

Have a look at this thread (i posted 8th in there with some instructions).

It sounds like you've done most of it right, i'm guessing that its just the patching part which might be the problem, anyway... hope that help you out.

Installing UO twice.

UOG's probably the better util to use for the patches side of things, easy to setup.
