Default custom patches

ok i have gone down the custom client file path<

i made my patch when players try to log on with uog it downloads the patch but does nothing please some one help if you wish to view my patch it is availabe from this url

i realy like some help

what do you mean by nothing - they do not see the changes, or they see no item at all, etc

some possibile answers:
1) make sure they are using 2d --- 3d will not be patched with those - uses 3d models instead and it is useless - and even "ground" art is not patched to the 3d client through UOG - needs to be done manualy

2) not sure what art you have patched - but the items will not take the new look unless it overwrote the exact same itemid number - if it uses a new number then you need to rescript it to use the new number and either "fix" the ones all ready in game or replace them

3) for #2 above also - when scripting them - make sure you use the tiledata number and not the gumpart data number

4) if you did not make new fump art - then the gump files are not needed, but if you did - then they are missing

5) if you did not add new animations - but just "copied" other numbers over - then do not need the animation files - but the body.def file instead (lot smaller) - also i think there may be an animindx file also not there if it is new animations - not positive though - if you did add new animations

i needed the anima data because of the new moongates i made

and i added potted plants and al sorts of stuff and none of it works when patched with uog only if you do it maually

do i need tha animidx???

and i havent made ground tiles just new plants statue's and things in art(s)
and tiledata(s) and they work if i do it manually, but then i can't patch my client

are you using 2d or 3d?

"ground" data i ment any thing that is placed on the ground/floor/in pack/etc - it is what you see when it is placed on the ground - like your potted plants - they will not show in 3d unless manualy patched - and if you scripted them - make sure you are using the tiledata number

yes you need the animation index file - it should have been updated also

also did you copy these over onto the servers datapath directory - it needs to know this info also - specialy for animations

also when you made them - did you check to make sure nothing else was using that number? need to make sure that nothing at all is using the number - including but not limited to body.def and mobtypes.txt - specialy with the animations

im using 2d, i know that it worked ause i made it all work it looked fine then i patched all the client files and replaced them with unmodified ones and tried to access them from uog it downloaded the patch but nothing happened ingame

The patch file name you have listed on UOG is PatchA.rar not Patch.rar
