My friends and I need help, please - RunUO

ok well we have been working on getting our shard up all night till about 5 in the morning. the host can log on fine but when me and my friend try to log on, we get past the server choice and get stuck at connect. he has edited the serverlist thing im sure, anyone can help? were just totally new to runUO

Do any messages show up in the Server console window?

he says that it says i joined, but then i get stuck at connection until it says server was brought down or somnething, try in a few moments.

What patch are you and your friend running?
What patch is the server running on?
RunUO 1.0 or 2.0?

im thinking runUO 2.0, im running 5.0.7 and the minimum for the server is 5.0.4, i dont know exactly where he's updated to

Is he connecting to his local lan ip? and yall are trying to connect through the internet? if so make sure he has passed the server ports through his router

Here is a link for Shard Connections & Configuring It has steps on how to configure your shard for the public so people outside your LAN can log onto the shard.. I hope you find it useful.

I had the same problem with my server when i first started it. To me it sounds like a firewall problem. Perhaps your host's firewall does not have port 2593 open for runuo as this was my problem.

Neverending, please try this: when you try to login and it says "connecting...", click the "X" button (or hit enter), then login again. The same thing might happen on/after shard select screen.

I'm not sure what causes this, but it's what I have to do most of the time when I want to login to my shard.
