Unhappy Error 1006? Any ideas?

EEEEP! I am having major problems lol My friend has his own server and I am able to log onto the server, but I can only move a few steps then thats it. Paper doll does not show up and when dragging my life bar out its blank. cant speak or move. I think this is the problem but I don't know what it means. I'm getting an error when connecting (I'm connecting using ConnectUO Desktop) that says "Failed to open c:\ultima online mondain's legacy\multi.idx: error 1006" followed by another error that says ""Failed to open c:\ultima online mondain's legacy\multi.mul: error 1006" Yes, that path is correct. C:\ultima Online Mondain's Legacy I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me on this one!

Thank you

oh, I'm not using CUO either, so it can't be CUO's fault...

Is said friend using a custom map? I'f so you'll need his patch files. Or could be he's using svn with the 6.0.0.1 or what eversout out now and your not patched that high? Theres many many things that could cause this best thing is to find out what he's using if he has a custom map and if so you need to get the patches from him or if he's using connectuo login thru that. Have you tried logging into other shards? If so is it the same issue? I've never been brave enough to try svn atleast not yet, So I couldn't help you on that part. :/ Best of luck hope you find your answer

it does sound like an OSI patching issue

are you guys patched all the way up on OSI? if so - the server might be running at 5.0.91 or lower

or even if that high - he may not be using the correct svn or have it set up for it

and from what i am understanding now - OSI newest newest patch even has a totaly new encryption that connect UO or razor can not break yet, and is a pain to remove from your system if patched that high

so find out what version of OSI he is using and try to match it
and if it is above 6.0.17 (6.0.17 the newest svn does work with i was told - it is above that that OSI made even more changes again) - then might be new problems for all on that shard
