I informed the admin he told me try shards with 6.0 clomplance or something. anyway so I tried about 20 shards now I seem to experaince a new issue. Now I can take 5 steps then freeze. Can't do anything. An no its not lag. I cant type, press help or anything. So do i need to repatch or is their a bug in runuo servers I dont know about?

The current patch I have is 6.2.0 (patch 58). If you host a server patched to this please post the server name or know of a server so i can test it to see if its just the servers I try to play. I would realy like to get to the bottom of this issue. An any other tips would be nice as well. I would like to play on the uo rouges shard it looked like a cool shard to try but having issues. So i might be forced to check out others. anyway suggestions needed lol

You need to re-install and patch again. 6.2 might be your problem. Thats what everyone tells me so I would try that if I was in your position |

Well I had the same problem and all I did was I re-installed Ulitma Online and I patch all over again. Dont know about any link to proper patching. Im sorry I wish I could help further on your request for that link. If I knew what to do I would help.
Wait and see if someone might know. ![]() |

Got the PM asking for help, hope you don't mind but I will respond here as I find doing so may help others with similar questions in the future, when PMs may only help one person.
I can't for sure say if it was your client version. I haven't tested the new 6.2.0 patch nor have I heard any issues with it. Connecting to a shard these days pretty much depends on what version of RunUO the shard is using. If its 1.0 or 2.0 RC1 there is a high probability that you can't connect with a client of 6.0.1.6 or above. If it is a recent RunUO 2.0 SVN you can probably connect to it. Personally I recommend using UO client 5.0.9.1, but my shard is using the latest RunUO SVN so higher clients should be supported. If you want to test my shard's site is in my profile. There were some big changes in the UO folder with the 6.0.0 + updates. For example they split fel/tram into to different map files. Your best bet to get on to the shard you want is to uninstall UO, delete the UO folder and re-install. The shard admin should know which version of UO works on his/her shard though. Patch it up normally, but keep an eye on it and stop it before it starts downloading 6.0.0. It is a rather large patch so you should be able to stop it by hitting cancel before it is applied. It used to be that you could just download the proper client if you over patched but with the major map changes I am not sure that is possible so I wouldn't advise doing that.
