UO Patches repository - RunUO

Hi all!

I uploaded all the UO Patches from version 4.0.11c to 6.0.5.0 to a "RapidShare" folder.

You can download it and unzip inside "...\EA Games\ Mondain's...\patch", and run the UO Patch utility to automatic install all the patches.

You can select the patches you want to install. Example: "UO Rice" just works with 5.0.7 and bellow this. Than you can install just all patches to 5.0.7 and cancel the UO patch after the install.

Or download all the patches, save to a DVD with the Mondain's Legacy Setup and reinstall it without need to ownload all the patches again.

I'm confused as to how this is useful? NOT knocking it, just confused. Is there a tool available to let one apply only select patches?

Yes and no... what they have done was upload the patch files. You then place them in the Patch folder and run UOUpdate.exe... then cancel it when the patchs you want patched are complete so it doesn't update to the "Max/Current" version.

I think to patch, tho, you have to patch to the version of the client immediately preceding the one you are patching to.

But this might be useful for people who, for some reason, can't access the download ports to auto-patch.

From my understanding with KR and further packages they will be stopping the updates to the ML and older packs. This repository is great because we can download the patches and have them for our shard's players without having trouble downloading (I think ML is the best package ever, dont like the 3d only of KR).

I don't know. So far as I can tell there are still a lot of people who really don't like or use the new client.

This situation reminds me of UO Third Dawn. They were going to move everyone to that too, and we know how that all turned out. They even made UO3D exclusive content (Ilshenar) and eventually gave everyone access to it because it was a ghost town.
