Ok I dont know if this is possible, but someone here can definetly lay it out for me.
I want to have 2 servers running on one computer. I have gotten this to work. I set up one as a production, where players develop characters, level up, gain items and skills, etc. The next step I can't get to work is the PvP server. I want for a player to be able to log into the pvp server using thier production characters. The PvP server never saves, so nothing will be saved. Anything gained or lost on the pvp server would have nothing to do with the production server. Hopefully I made this clear enough. Let me know. |

I have already disabled the world saves.
Using a batch file would mean I have to run the batch file for the saves to update. Im trying to get a more automated system. For example. A player finishes a quest and gets 3 rewards choices. He can log onto the pvp server, select 3, but those 3 choices only last until he logs out. He can test them in pvp, pvm, or just to see that stats of each item. With a batch file, this wont be possible as it just 'updates' the pvp save file when I run it. Also to avoid possible duping, I want to speed up the decay rate to instantly. Meaning when someone puts something on the floor, it automatically is erased. And one more, is it possible to relocate the players xyz when they login? This way all pvpers can be sent to and trapped in, destard for example. |
