EDIT:
Please read my post later on with the video link. I realise now it isn't just me, but a fair few of the ZIP files I have tried to download through RunUO forums see to be corrupted? Most compressed files downloaded from here come out as shown below, using whatever program; I've tried WinRAR, 7zip, Filzip and Windows Built-In unzip. Is there any suggestions as to what I can do/Has anyone else found a fix to this problem? Thanks in advance. WIndows "Compressed (Zipped) Folders" ![]() Winrar, 7zip and FilZip all did the same thing; produced a file with the same name as the ZIP file. ![]() Last edited by Shazman; 09-11-2008 at 01:27 PM. |

I've not had a single problem with ANY file I've downloaded, whether its in zip or rar format.

That would be because those archives somehow got double compressed. The file info in WinRAR says they are GZip archives.
The extracted file is another archive file missing it's extension. I renamed it adding the zip extension so WinRAR could recognize it.

Back again.
When I try to download certain zip files using the download manager suggested, for some reason, the forums send me the login page in HTML instead of the file I want? If I download the file without a download manager, the zip file is corrupted. This is the only site it happens on. Any Suggestions? (Sorry if this is the wrong forum? I couldn't see a better choice.) |

Thanks. Sorta worked.
In some cases, this works fine. All downloads okay, and no problems. However, sometimes it doesn't, and does as I descibed earlier. I also made a small video to show my problem more clearly. Thanks for any help. http://www.vimeo.com/1496227 Last edited by Shazman; 08-09-2008 at 07:23 AM. |

I downloaded the same zip as shown in your video and was able to extract it with no problem using both WinRar and the Windows extractor.
