I am using the default map, but been adding statics and what not. I did my first patch just fine and it downloads...but i added another small area, deleted the old static from the patch, added new one...uploaded....but the patcher doesn't recognize that there is a new patch. When i look at the patchlist.txt i notice my old one matches my new one minus the change in where it downloads the static (which i expected). But the numbers on the end (which i thought is where it gets if it needs a new patch or not) are exactly the same. Can i change one of those numbers manually or how can i tell CUO that it needs to download a new patch?
thanks for the help |

wont matter at this point in time cause the serverlist doesnt update...so making a patch is pretty pointless...Also cuo patcher doesnt work on the new map split.

Whenever you change the files in the actual patch, you need to run the Patchlist builder again. I believe the numbers at the end are a hash that cuo uses to compare the patch to what cuo has already downloaded. One thing I've noticed is that when updating patches, cuo won't overwrite any old patches, but it will add new files. To get around this, we usually tell our players to delete our folder from their cuo servers folder so that the patches will download and extract. Last edited by razzles; 08-27-2008 at 03:20 PM. |

That's what im doing is 6.0.1.1...i don't use tram so the map split isn't a big deal and i have players adding as a local server and all works as expected.
the problem im having is the fact im doing another patch to the same files. @Jeff: currently as long as it's a local server, and no one is needing to patch tram, then it's fine in what i have been messing with....i haven't had any issue's till what i explained above. |

You'll have to run the patchlist builder again to update the hash the cuo uses (the numbers after the file name). Also, cuo won't overwrite any existing file in the Server folder, so your players will have to delete their existing patches. When they connect again, cuo should update their patches.
