player can not log on to server

hi i'v tried all i can im at the moment using a private iternet of 10mb through my mobile phone and everytime i give the ip out to my mates it wont let them log in it wont even come up in runuo that someone is trying to connect to the server i have tried all the port forwarding stuff and stil dont work i have tried the whatsmyip stuff and used that ip and still dont work and i have been trying to get it to work for the past few months and i was wondering if someone could help me on this please i am realy peed about it at the moment i have even tried using sphear and older runuo and the latest ones and none seem to work i am running windows xp if there is someone that could help on this subject it will be much oblidged

the chances are you mobile phone IP is actualy part of a network ip system also, so it is not a true IP address

so you would need port forwarding on the phones network to your phones IP and they probably will not do that
then port foraward again on router or what ever you are using at the house that phone is hooked to

thank you for letting me know graywolf ill just have to wait till i get the internet properly when i got it thou could you help me try and get it so the public can log in i will have 1 static and the rest will be running on a router i am going to get the be network witch inc 1 static then the rest runs on a wireless hub :P

we can help you with that up here - most of that has all ready been done

BUT do not use a wireless network for router - most cause way to many problems including momentary disconnects - and a server that disconnects everyone is not good

(can have wired router for setting up DNS, etc, and then server plugged into it
then wireless router [set up as HUB only] plugged into it and then have wireless network after that
but do not have wireless be the router)
