Hello. I've just got some shard files from a shard that needed me to host, the only problem is that for some reason nobody can connect, but me.. I'm on a wired modem with no router, dynamic IP, using no-ip.org. I've tried using different ports, with and without no-ip.org and it still won't accept any internet connections. Heres my serverlist file:
* If you need to resolve a DNS host name, you can do that too: * private const string Address = "shard.host.com"; */ public const string Address = "bezoar.no-ip.org"; public const string ServerName = "Bezoar"; public static void Initialize() { Listener.Port = 5003; EventSink.ServerList += new ServerListEventHandler( Any suggestions? Edit: I've read the configuring your connection post. And if it makes any difference, I'm using RUO 1.0 Last edited by renthar; 09-14-2008 at 09:29 PM. |

OK ... I'm resolving your address as 142.163.168.9 but I'm getting no response to a ping. Since you are on a dial up modem without a router, this would suggest to me that Windows Firewall is enabled on your connection ... assuming you are online right now that is :P

Well .. I'm still not getting a response ... which is not a good start ... can you check your ip address is what I said it is?
Right click the connection and choose status ... then look on the support tag (sorrry if I teach you to suck eggs but it saves time )

OK ... lets try a different way.
Are you able to connect to my shard at bujins-world.kicks-ass.net port 2593 ? If you try then I will see the IP you come from. What firewall was it that you disabled? Do you have ICQ? This might be easier over an IM ![]()

I disabled windows firewall(the only firewall I currently have). I'm sure the IP you found is correct, thats what WhatismyIP gives :3.. I don't have ICQ but if you use hotmail, you can add adamstamp1@hotmail.com and hopefully we can figure this out :P
