First of all, please, dont answer like "dont run 2 servers on 1 pc", "run them on different ports", "use search" and "use google". I spent most of yesterday doing this and couldnt go further then creating shard list.
I want to run two shards, allowing ppl to chose in shard list which one do they like. All I figured out was starting second server on another port and adding in serverlist.cs of first e.AddServer with second server ip and port. This brings second shard into list, but I still cant connect due to (my guess) authentication was passed on first runuo, then redirecting then to another, and client sends some other data but password and login, and second runuo detects it as invalid client, resulting in "invalid client detected, disconnecting" console message. So I guess I need to make common authentication procedure for both servers? Thanks for your help. |

i saw that thread, it helped me to make a server list, but clients are still disconnected at 2nd shard login attempt. attached files are too tough for me to figure out what are they doing, but they dont even compile. maybe a bit outdated (i use revision 300 for this), or they need another files to be edited... anyway i couldnt make this work...
maybe you can include needed code in the comments of future revisions? added: about next links: commented out that client checking, rebuilt core - it says now just "disconnected" and client still hangs. this serverlist doesnt compile as well, it says that Server.Network.Listener does not contain definition for Port different problem - didnt find the solution.
