Big Problem - RunUO

I changed a few things in the playermobile file, restarted my server and it crashed, something about deleting a character. I couldn't log in afterwords. After spending two to three hours going over the file and searching the forums I decided to change the file back, I can log in now but had to make a new character which is not Admin anymore.

Is there any way to revert back about 6 hours? I sure hope so. I haven't had this shard up long but have done a lot of work on it in the past few days.

Thank you in advance for any help I can get.

only way to revert back is to have a save from then
just need to copy it from the back up directory into the saves directory

but if yours is the only account
can just delete the accounts.xml file, restart the server and it will ask you to make a new owner account again

I was afraid of that, I don't think my saves go back that far. There are only have four other accounts, all GM accounts for building the shard. Oh well, if I have to redo the accounts, at least the work is still there.

or, you can post the error, see if it is related to serialization and try to make a fake deserialization only for one time so that server will read correctly accounts.

also want to make sure that it is fixed...

load, save, shutdown

if you can do that then you know your problem is fixed

I've already redone the accounts but I'll play with it a little later and try those suggestions. In the mean time I need to change the auto save so that it doesn't save every 5 minutes and I get more options to revert back to.

BTW, why do I keep getting this message when I restart

that means that those items are "child" items that are lacking their "parent"

bank boxes have to be a part of a player. they occupy a hidden "equipped" slot. what happens when the mobile gets deleted but the bank box doesnt? it becomes an in-accessable item. as its not "tied" to a mobile anymore.

so the only options are leave it on the internal map which is bad, or delete them.

well im just guessing here but maybe you could go into your characters code and change him / her to a owner?
