Does "custom built" count as a brand?
Haven't bought a brand computer since the PII first came out.

Alienware == Off the shelf Custom Build with a fancy case (Modified Antec), mouse (MS Optical), and keyboard (MS Internet). The case alone costs twice as much as an identical (sans Head) Antec. (I used to sell AWs)

I'll stick to Custom Built ;->

Thats true, but you can also deeply customize what processors, video cards.. etc. you want, and that to me is "custom" :]

If you've got the money.. why not ? :]

Have you read the customer reviews of alienware? Half of them are horrible, I wouldn't risk buying an expensive computer like that from cuba or something when I can buy parts online and put one together. Normally I would buy parts from accupc.com but my friend showed me Ibuypower.com and I think it looks pretty nice. You get quite a few options of customization and they put it together for you. I would have to say compaqs are the worst and dells suck too mainly because they only use pentiums which make them inferior to hp because you can get an athlon. However, I own a Dell and a compaq aside from other brandless/nameless computers.

Actually, Alien ware has won many awards and have actually been shown on "Tactical to Pratical" (A show of modern technical advances) on being one the best gaming system out there...

Well, of course we are all titled to our own personal opinions... mine being that alien ware's are a nice brand of computer, my own running super smooth and wonderful... we all have our own taste's :]

Also if you wish, list your most disliked brand of computer :]

Mine would be e machines... I don't even know if it diserves the title of a computer...

You can acually build a better custom built computer as good as AlienWare or almost any computer for alot cheaper...which is kinda good because they put idoic shit on there that you dont even need....

I would have to say in my experience people I know that have e machines and such they are actually a decent computer. Maybe not the ultimate gaming machine, but they do alright. Alienware may be good machines if your lucky enough not to have any problems. I would just recomend reading their own user reviews if you're thinking about buying one.
